In this rhetorical address Martin Luthur King expressed his sharp attitude against the racial segregation in 1960s by calling it"An American nightmare",However,while insisting that blacks need to win equal rights through consistent struggle,he also emphasized that non-violence was the prerequsite for the acception of black by all races and urged his race to unite with whites。
He came to a close by dramatizing a country without discrimination or segregation。
I have a dream that one day every valley shall be exalted, every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight, and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together.
