the chinese guvernment has protested furiously this year against mixing sports and politics. 这里的mixing sports and politics什么意思。我就是看不懂！However, China virtually invented boycotting the Olympics for political purpose. 这里的boycotting是什么意思？
到这里，最好能和我讲讲动词加ing的用法，还有他前面有带什么助动词或是什么其他省略掉得名词啊等等。 我总是看不懂跟在他前面的是个什么词？
