有关Dare的问题
Dare应该既可作助动词（+v原形），又可作作实义动词（+to+v）的呀，为什么这里dare to say 不能用？另外C选项中若把第一个空“dared say”换成“dare say”是不是可以用了？ －I ___ she ___ out alone at night （D） －I’m afraid not. She’s a brave girl. A. dare say , dared not go B. dare to say, daren’t go C. dared say, doesn’t dare to go D. dare say, daren’t go
I dare say可以看成是习惯说法，意思是“我揣测，可能，或许”。例如： I dare say he will come。 You're tired, I dare say。 I dare say I overdo it。 But I think you go to the other extrem。
dare用作情态动词还是实意动词，是很好区分的。请看下列句子： I daren't talk back to my father。(情态动词) I don't dare to talk back to my father。 （实意动词） She daren't tell her father about her boyfriend。
(情态动词) She doesn't dare to tell her father about her boyfriend。（实意动词） 另外，我想多说一句，有时候，有些练习题出得不够严谨，也常会出现输录差错。
