说服 vs. 劝 (persuade)
What is the difference between these two? Are they both used the same as in "persuade"?
说服 我成功说服了他。I successfully persuaded him. In this situation, it's used as a verb which can add a direct object,for example, a person. It focuses on the result. 劝 我劝他别那么做。 I advise him not to do that. In this situation, it is usually followed by an indirect object and direct object.It focuses on the procedure.
