独立主格结构是指用一个短语来表达相当于句子的概念，独立指其单独表达一近似完整的概念，主格指它用名词代词 来充当逻辑主语，说它是是指这个名词代词，是后边动作的发出者： 1。Mother being ill, he has to saty at home to look after her。
Mothe 是 being ill的逻辑主语。Mother being ill作原因状语。 2。Books in hand ,the teacher came into the classroom。这是用名词充当逻辑主语，（书拿在手中）表伴随。
3。 With a basket on her back,she went out cutting grass。身上背着篮子，表伴随。 4。The problem worked out, we go on to do the next。
The problem 是被work out 的逻辑主语，所以用过去分词表被动。 5。Hand tied behind, the murder was took in the rooom。hand 是 tied 的逻辑主语，所以用过去分词。
一般说来，根据前边的名词代词判断用ing 还是ed，有时可根据动词是及物还是不及物判断，特别是正在人体部位作逻辑主语时： His eyes looking upward, he lay on the grassland。look不及物，所以用ing , His eyes fixed upon the picture, he seemed very happy。
(fix one's eyes upon ,fix 及物所以用ed 形式) 。
