1.when和as都有“当···的时候”这个意思，但是此题选when更恰当 while为主句动作的发生划定一个时间的范围 as为主句动作的发生提供一个伴随的动作 2.B明显不合适，从句意看，在许多国家老年是一个快乐美好的时期，但是在美国却恰恰相反。这样解释最正确，你不能说不快乐就是困难，困难可能只是不快乐的其中的一种，所以用相反最合适。 3.这好像不是个句子吧，缺少很多成分。 4.选A语法不对；把炉子放到屋子中央，在那儿他们会很容易被绊倒。从句不缺成分所以用where引导。 5.是个非限制性定语从句。 6.加the也不对，这里应该是用人类的意思，the people是人民的意思。 指代的是water，这样就明白了吧！
