英语中的be动词也叫系动词，具体体现形式有am, is, are 三种。其用法可以用一个儿歌来概括：我(I)后am, 你(you)后are;
is 管着他(he)、她(she)、它(it);
单数is, 复数are；
肯定变否定，请把not加；
若要变疑问，尽管往前拉。
  
肯定句：主语+be(am, is, are)+其它。
否定句：主语+be(am, is, are) +not +其它
一般疑问句：Be(Am, Is, Are) +主语+其它
肯定答语：Yes, 主语（代词）+be(am, is, are)
否定答语：No, 主语（代词）+be(am, is, are) +not。
  
特殊疑问句：疑问词+be(am, is, are) +其它
实意动词就是所说的行为动词可以单独作为谓语的词，比如live和kill
而实意动词又按照动词后面能否接宾语分为及物动词（vt）和不及物动词（vi）
比如live就是不及物动词，kill就是及物动词
而系动词则分为be动词（is/are/am)和感官动词（表示感觉的动词比如smell,seem feel,taste)还有带有”变得，变“的意思的如become，turn，grow等
还有两类就是助动词：I can't play basketball well中的”well“
和情态动词I can't do this中的”can't“

  当做主动词时，“be”在性质上属于接系动词, 后面要有名词、形容词、地方副词或短语作补足语。
The man is a science teacher。
这个男子是一位科学教师。
Mary's new dresses are colourful。
  
玛丽的新衣服色彩鲜艳。
I have been there before。
我以前去过那里。
My mother is in the kitchen now。
母亲现在在厨房。
这四个都是陈述句，可以变成疑问句，方法简单，把主语和“be”或助动词对换位置即可：
Is the man a science teacher?
Are Mary's new dresses colourful?
Have I been there before?

  当“be”要在祈使句中出现时，它必须借助 助动词“do”或“don't”之助，如：
Don't be silly!
Do be obedient!
Don't be a fool!
3。“Be + 现在分词”以组成进行式时态，如：
Tony's maid is washing his new car。
  
The children are playing in the field。
Samuel was eating when I came in。
We have been living here since 1959。
4。
  “事/物人 +Be + 过去分词”以组成被动语态,如：
Her money in the drawer was stolen
