英语作业
一.阅读理解 1. A woman thought she was in heaven when beer instead of water flowed from the kitchen tap(龙头) in her flat in west Norway. “ We had a happy Saturday evening and ate a nice dinner. I was just going to clean up,” said Haldis Gundersen, 50, from her home in Kristiandsund, west Norway. “I turned on the kitchen tap and beer came out. We thought we were in heaven.” The price of beer in Norway may be the most expensive in the world with 0.4 liter costing about 50 crowns (4.3 pounds) in a bar. Gundersen said she tried the beer but it tasted a little strange and was not fizzy. It was said that a worker in a bar two floors below had mixed up the pipes on Saturday evening, wrongly connecting a new barrel to a water pipe leading to Gundersen’s flat. Per Egil Myvang, the local beer distributor(发行商), said he had helped workers reconnect the pipes by telephone. “ The water and beer pipes do touch each other, but you have to be really creative to connect them together,” he told local newspapers. Gundersen joked about having the bar send up free beer for her next party. “But maybe it would be easier if they just invited me down for a beer.” she said. 1. 1 c C项最适合作本文标题 2 c 出处"“ We had a happy Saturday evening and ate a nice dinner. I was just going to clean up,” " 3 c a项说啤酒很便宜与文意不符,b项只是Gundersen开玩笑的说法,d项是the local beer distributor指出的事实.只有C项符合题意. 4 b 根据题意,画线处应该是“ The water and beer pipes do touch each other, but you have to be really creative to connect them together,”这是一句反讽,意指工人太粗心了,将管接错. 5 a 很明显,既然管道接错了,一边该出水的却出啤酒,那么另一边该出啤酒的则出水啦.
